What we can help you with
At The Craig Tyler Trust we have much more to offer than it might seem...
Our Charity
The Craig Tyler Trust charity was set up in the memory of a beloved boy, Craig.
in April 2018 Craig, after a battle with mental health, took his own life at the age of just 22. Craig left his family and friends grieving immensely.
We create The Craig Tyler Trust to make sure that anyone who needs support doesn't suffer in silence.
As a grieving family we all pulled together to set up The Craig Tyler Trust, vowing to help as many people as we can.
Our story
The Craig Tyler Trust was set up after the tragic suicide of a young man with the world at his feet. Craig was loved by everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him, and he absolutely adored his family especially, his two children.
Unfortunately Craig was suffering from high functioning depression following the death of his beloved Dad. Craig tryed to seek help by taking himself to the local A&E but he sadly slipped through the net.
On the 7th April 2018, Craig left home and never returned....he took his own life.
Craig’s family, together, decided that Craig’s death was one of many and they couldn’t just sit back and do nothing about it so they all trained in Mental health awareness and suicide prevention, intervention and postvention.
The Craig Tyler Trust is now a registered charity – number 1192176, and we offer support 6 days a week to anyone who is suffering from any type of mental ill health.
Our Mission
Committed to serving individuals and families who need help coping with ill mental health
Suicide is a silent killer that creeps up on an individual. It’s the biggest killer of men under the age of 40 and latest studies report that 84 young men die by suicide a WEEK.
Throughout history, suicide has been a taboo subject, with it at one point being illegal! The shame heaped on sufferers of ill mental health has led to the subject of depression being silenced. This makes the sufferer hide their feelings, their symptoms and their needs from everybody and they do not seek help.
Our aim at the Trust is to run an open reach centre for anyone who needs it, to have access to help and support in dealing with their ill mental health.
We want to be that friendly face they look to for a chat. No matter what the problem is, nothing is insignificant.
We will campaign for law changes so that every work place and school has a mental health first aider. We will fight for bigger budgets within local councils to aid with this.
The Craig Tyler Trust is run solely by volunteers, and we rely completely on the generosity of those who donate. Please help us to help those that need it.
